AI Diligence Statement
Last updated: April 2026
Building Beyond Me is committed to transparency about the tools used to build and maintain this website. This statement describes how artificial intelligence (AI) has been incorporated into the relaunch of buildingbeyond.me.
Our approach
AI is used at Building Beyond Me as a planning, drafting, and review tool — not as a replacement for content creation and human judgment. Every output produced with AI assistance is reviewed, edited, and approved by a human before it appears on this site or informs a decision about the organization.
How AI has been used in the relaunch
The following tasks were completed with AI assistance during the current rebuild:
- Site audit. AI was used to review the prior version of buildingbeyond.me and produce a structured audit identifying what to keep, update, add, and fix.
- Project roadmap. AI helped organize the rebuild into a phased, health-forgiving roadmap, including recommendations for a free and low-cost plugin stack suited to a non-profit budget.
- Content drafting and rewriting. AI assisted in drafting and refining, navigation labels, and proofreading supporting copy.
- Planning and structure. AI was used to think through site structure, page hierarchy, and the sequencing of work across phases.
- Policy and disclosure drafting. AI assisted in drafting this statement and other site policies, which were then reviewed and edited by a human.
What AI has not been used for
- AI is not used to impersonate creators, members, or staff.
- AI is not used to generate images, creator stories, bios, or testimonials presented as first-person accounts.
- AI is not used to make final decisions about who joins the community, how donations are allocated, or how member information is handled.
- AI is not used to provide mental health advice or crisis support. Visitors in need of mental health support are directed to qualified human resources.
Human oversight
A human reviews all AI-assisted work before it is published. Building Beyond Me remains responsible for the accuracy, tone, and integrity of everything on this site, regardless of the tools used to produce it.
A note on limits
AI tools can make mistakes, reflect biases in their training, or produce content that sounds confident but is inaccurate. We treat AI output as a draft to evaluate — not as a source of truth. If you find something on this site that seems wrong, misleading, or out of step with our mission, please contact us.
Changes to this statement
As the project grows and the ways we use AI evolve, this statement will be updated. The date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision.
